Music for Seeing Circuits
Artists's Book, Series of Five
Diploma Project, 2026
Autoethnographic Study
This artist’s book accompanies the performance of the same name, but its concern lies beneath the performance, with the ideas that set it in motion. It is published as a series of five, each copy containing its own unique sound material and scores.
Its starting point is Fluxus co-founder Dick Higgins’s concept of intermedia: not a juxtaposition of media, but a critical confluence in which their boundaries dissolve. From there the book turns to the algorithm as a performer of graphic scores, a co-creator rather than a mere. Set to find features that were never drawn, it finds them anyway, and in that misreading the book locates something like interpretation: error not as failure, but as a form of authorship. Even time, and how it is represented, emerges from this reading: an image has no time of its own, and gains one only through the path attention takes across it, ours or the machine’s.
Underneath runs a simple claim about the systems we make music with, and the ones that increasingly shape everything else: every mapping is a decision about what shall mean what. Whoever maps, composes.

About
My work spans performance, acousmatic and interactive sound works, and installations. Working through a conceptual lens, I am interested in the moments of in-betweenness where meaning must be continuously renegotiated. Central to this are questions of control and its absence; how agency and perception shift, dissolve, or are redistributed.
Recent projects range from acousmatic spatial compositions to explorations of light-sound transduction, digital feedback systems, and algorithmic interpretations of graphic scores.
I hold an M.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a Diplom (MFA) in Media Arts from HfG Karlsruhe, and studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. My works and performances have been presented at venues such as Museum West (NL), Garage Rotterdam (NL), ZKM Kubus (DE), Rewire Festival (NL), Lapinlahden Lähde Studios (FI), Národní dům (CZ), and Nova (BE).
