Das Grüne Erinnern (Green Remembrance) is an audiovisual performance set in the year 2523. Climate change has devastated the natural world; most wildlife is gone. Yet humanity still yearns for nature. A new trend emerges: simulated memory experiences of the lost biosphere.
In a former organ factory in Durlach, a 15-meter-wide projection stretches across the hall. Rare natural relics — an uprooted plant, a cocoa bean, a strip of turf — sit in glass cases on black plinths. Visitors, wearing rubber gloves, are guided to their seats by uncanny, futuristic performers. A bell rings. The performers form a perfect circle.
The 45-minute séance begins — an atmospheric journey through a decayed planet’s memories. Das Grüne Erinnern is a haunting vision of a future shaped by ecological collapse. More information here.
