About
Daniel L. Lythgoe is an artist, architect, and musician whose compositions integrate sonic, spatial, and visual elements to explore the acoustic and social dynamics of anthropogenic and technological environments.
Working through a conceptual lens, he shapes immersive performances, interactive sound sculptures, and site-specific installations that explore the interplay of sound, space, and perception. Recent projects range from acousmatic spatial compositions to interventions investigating light-sound transduction, discrete-time feedback systems, and algorithmic interpretations of graphic scores.
Daniel holds a master’s degree in architectural design from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, as well as Media Arts and ArtScience at HfG Karlsruhe and KABK Den Haag, respectively. Places where he has performed or his work been shown include (among others): Museum West (NL), Amare (NL), ZKM (DE), Rewire Festival (NL), Národní dům (CZ) and Nova (BE).
